Need an idea for Easter that involves fun, family and friends then why not head to Aileron for the 6th Annual Aileron Bush Weekend on the 3rd and 4th of April 2010. Come & get amongst the cowboys & cowgirls as they battle it out in the extreme rodeo rough stock events. Try your luck in the notorious Mexican donkey race or the Ladies Boot Throwing Competition. Test your skills in the Iron man / Iron Woman, Tug-o-war & other kids sports & novelty events. Gymkhana competitions will be held on both days of the weekend. Saturday night live entertainment from "Dom Costello" will keep you on the dance floor into the night, and both adults and kids can join in on the fun with the Talent quest Competition. Entry fee is $5.00, gents must wear a tie, neat and tidy dress standards apply. Sunday night enjoy the casual atmosphere, as the sun sets on the weekend. All competitors entering in any rough stock or gymkhana events must be between the ages of 5 years to 70 years, as of the 31st day of December 2009. Aileron Bush Club inc. recommends all competitors have personal ambulance cover. So Pack the kids and camping gear and get your backside North-side to the Aileron Racecourse (130kms North of Alice Springs). Entry Fee Weekend: $35 per person (includes free camping). Children 16 and under free. Camping Friday night to Monday morning (cost included in gate entry fee). Toilets and showers on grounds. Catering BYO Alcohol -- No bar. Catered by the "Bush Brides" for the Variety Club - Saturday morning to Sunday night. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 5th of April 2010 at 10 am at the race course outside the dance hall, all welcome. |
